Application

1-on-1 transfer designed for low headroom

Objective

To upgrade transfer chute system to reduce product lost from spillage

Transfer Detail

Consists of a 1-on-1 transfer chute system with inlet hood, spoon, fines chute and outlet skirts, and 1800 mm and 2100 mm conveyors

Challenge

As part of a terminal capacity upgrade, this transfer was required to reduce spillage to help maximize the capacity throughput of the material handling system.

Tasman Warajay Solution

Tasman Warajay designed a complete solution for the transfer where the feed conveyor structure was modified to accommodate the launch pulley. This launch pulley allows for better flow by changing the trajectory of the material as it leaves the conveyor.
Once the material is launched from the feed conveyor, it is then collected and controlled by the chute head. It then flows into the spoon where the material is soft-loaded onto the receiving conveyor.

Result

The customer now has an upgraded transfer system with the ability to sustain good production and minimize the environmental impact of the dust, noise, and spillage.
